Exam countdown

See exactly how long you have until each exam, how many real study days that is, and how many hours a day it takes to be ready.

Your exams

Runs in your browser. Nothing you type leaves your device.

How to use your countdown

A countdown is only useful if it changes what you do today. Use the numbers like this:

  • More than 6 weeks: plan three rounds (learn, review, test). The study plan generator does this for you.
  • 2–6 weeks: one learning pass on weak topics, then switch to past papers and self-testing.
  • Under 2 weeks: prioritise high-mark topics and test yourself daily. Read how to make a study plan for exams for a last-fortnight plan.

Study days are counted from tomorrow, minus your rest days. Hours per day assume you spread the hours evenly.

FAQ

How many days until my exam?

Add your exam and its date above. The countdown shows the days, hours and minutes left, plus how many study days you have once you take one rest day a week.

How many hours a day should I study for my exam?

Estimate the total hours you need for the subject (for example 30 hours for a big final), and the tool divides it by your study days. If the number is above 5–6 hours a day, start earlier or cut lower-priority topics.

Does the countdown save my exams?

Yes, on this device only, in your browser’s local storage. Nothing is uploaded.

Can I get exam countdowns on my phone?

Yes. The ClassTrack app shows a countdown for every exam on the Home screen, next to your classes and homework. It is free on Android.
